Jay A. LaScala, 59 of Sioux City, Iowa – Thursday, March 15, 2018

Jay A. LaScala, 59, of Sioux City, passed away from a lengthy illness Thursday, March 15, 2018. A memorial visitation will be Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 5 to 7 P.M. with a prayer service at 6 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Jay was born the son of John and Marilyn (Carpenter) LaScala on March 24, 1958 in Sioux City, Iowa. Jay attended Sioux City East School. He lived in Sioux City before moving to Sioux Falls where he lived until he became ill. He managed Iowa Paint and also worked for the South Dakota Schools in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Jay was a Green Bay Packers fan, an avid bowler, and enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family and friends.

Jay is survived by his mother, Marilyn LaScala of Sioux City; two brothers, Don (Deb) LaScala and Keith LaScala of Sioux City; two nephews, Josh Lowry and Taylor (Kaylee) LaScala, and one niece, Lacey (Sam) LaScala all of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his father, John.
