After a long battle with leukemia, Dan passed away on Friday, April 21. We will all remember him as a loving husband and father and good friend to many.

We will be celebrating his life Tuesday, April 25 at 11:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1308 Whitley Road #101, Keller, Texas. For friends and family in town the day before, there will be a visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 South Main Street, Keller, Texas 76248.

Dan was born June 26, 1958 in Sioux City, Iowa to Carl and Nancy (Vondrak) Harrison. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Economics and Finance from Iowa State University in 1981 where he met his wife Dena. Dan and Dena were married on April 24, 1982 and had two daughters, Alexa and Christine. Dan was a dedicated career man working various positions in accounting and finance at GTE, Verizon, and TXU Energy. He enjoyed traveling with his family and frequently vacationed in Destin, Florida. Some of his hobbies included fishing, woodworking, DIY projects, and restoring classic cars. His latest project was restoring of a Model A and turning it into a hotrod envied by all. One of Dan’s happiest moments was watching the Cubs win game 5 of the world series at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

Dan is survived by his wife, Dena (Moore) Harrison of Keller, Texas; two daughters, Alexa and Jason Maloney of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Christine Harrison and her fiancé, Christopher DeWitt of El Paso, Texas; parents, Carl and Nancy Harrison of Sioux City, Iowa; brother, Matthew and Kathy Harrison of Ballwin, Missouri; sister, Catherine and Brian Waymaster of Oxford, Michigan; among nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
