(Geary) Youngberg &#8211; Age 54<\/p>\n<p>December 31, 2012<\/p>\n<p>Vicki A. (Geary) Youngberg, 54 of Dyer, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2012 at St. Margaret Hospital in Dyer, IN due to complications of pneumonia and sepsis.<\/p>\n<p>An open house celebration will be held at Flossmoor Station Restaurant, 1035 Sterling Ave., Flossmoor, IL 60422, Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at Nativity Church, 4242 Natalia Way, Sioux City, IA 51106 Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:30 AM. A luncheon will immediately follow in the parish center.<\/p>\n<p>Vicki was born in Le Mars, IA on July 25, 1958. She graduated from East High School in Sioux City, Iowa in 1976 and Wayne State College in 1998. Vicki was the Accounting Process Supervisor for Gelita USA where she was employed for over ten years. Vicki enjoyed traveling around the U.S. with her husband, spending time with her granddaughters, shooting sports, and beating her friends and family in Scrabble.<\/p>\n<p>Vicki is survived by her husband, Steve; her parents: Thomas (Leo) and Mary (Eileen) Geary; her daughter and son-in law: Kristi and Justin; her beloved granddaughters: Grace Kelley and Ginger Sophia Bruno; her brother, John Geary; and sister, Jolene (Randy) Munro. Vicki was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy; her mother and father-in-law: Howard and Delores; and nieces: Lisa and Emily.<\/p>\n<p>The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the ICU team at St. Margaret Hospital for their support and care during this difficult time.
